The thesis defense had a presentation support of 28 slides, covering the main topics investigated in 35 minutes overall. These main topics where the following: The importance of the new means of communication and ways of introducing them in the marketing, a description of the current context: insight on digital transformation and the ways it affects social media communication, the development of the public university in Europe (overview of Seville, Malaga, Transilvania and Sibiu Universities, the objectives and methodology of the qualitative analysis and digital ethnography, presentation of results and analysis of the use of new technologies in marketing strategies, communication and Public Relations processes
in public universities in Spain and Romania, SWOT analysis of the superior education department of communication in the mark of digital transformation in Spain and Romania, communication trends for 2020 and how will they influence the communication process inside universities, in connection with the result obtained and proposals to overcome the challenges and to improve.
